This meeting is aimed at discussing the problems related with augmented reality for infrastructure, construction and industry. It will start with a short presentation that will describe some users’ needs in those fields, as well as some of the technical difficulties encountered when trying to fulfill those needs with AR solutions. Some videos of recent research prototypes will also be presented. A general discussion will follow. The ultimate goal of this meeting is to contribute in creating a community of researchers interested in the field, and eventually organize a workshop on infrastructure/industrial AR at ISMAR in future years.
