Within the research in Mixed Reality during the last 10 years, the Fraunhofer IGD has developed a mobile application framework for iOS and Android devices for high-level development of AR applications. It enables efficient development of AR applications on mobile devices based on common standards like HTML, Javascript and X3D. It provides convenient interfaces and abstractions for various patterns of AR, while maintaining a great flexibility. The tutorial should introduce into the freely available instantAR framework and show the abilities and present potential opportunities in its use for researchers and commercial development
